I'm In Love with doTERRA Essential Oils!

I’ve been using essential oils for a few years, such as adding rosemary and peppermint to my body wash and using Tea Tree Oil as an antiseptic, for cuts and burns. Last fall I decided to check out doTERRA oils and signed up as a Wellness Advocate with one of my friends.

Why did I choose doTERRA essential oils? Because doTERRA is the ONLY company that sells Certified Pure, Therapeutic Grade oils. doTERRA means "gift of the earth" and that's just where they source all of their oils! Each oil comes from the country where that plant is indigenous. doTERRA is committed to providing simple, safe and empowering solutions that enhance well being.

Since January, I have been reading everything I can get my hands on and using the oils for pretty miraculous jobs! I invested in doTERRA’s Family Physician Kit. Here’s what it includes:

The Family Physician® Kit is a collection of ten nurturing essential oils, including six single oils and four blends. The stunning box includes tips for using the oils, as well as an audio CD featuring dōTERRA®'s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. David K. Hill. In this audio presentation, Dr. Hill teaches listeners how to care for their family's everyday health needs with simple and safe methods using the ten essential oils included in this kit. Includes 5 ml bottles of Lavender, Lemon, Peppermint, Melaleuca, Oregano, Frankincense, Deep Blue®, Breathe, DigestZen®, and On Guard to help families address a multitude of health issues.

Late in January, I had to have some pretty extensive dental work done and I did my homework. I put together rollerballs of Deep Blue (really great for pain) and Peppermint (helps with swelling). Then I took a drop of Frankincense and On Guard 2 to 3 times per day. I continued to use the Deep Blue, just rolling the diluted oil around my mouth several times a day. The Peppermint went around my ears. There is usually some ear pain with dental work and this really helped. I only took about 4 of the pain pills that my DDS gave me. I attribute the low pain I experienced to my use of the doTERRA essential oils!

Cool husband story: after a class I took with a friend in Richardson, I saw her Facebook posting on how she used Lavender and Melaleuca for her son’s earache. My hubby had a sinus headache and said his ears also ached, so I made some rollerballs and layered the two oils, around his ears and nose. After about 20 minutes, he said his ears popped. Then, after 30 more minutes, he said his sinus headache
was gone and his sinuses were clear!

My husband really swears by Deep Blue! He uses it on his back and his feet! My younger daughter has two small children and she uses everything from Lavender to On Guard to Melaleuca to keep them healthy and sleeping through the night! My older daughter has some allergies, so I made her a roller ball of Breathe and gave her a bottle of On Guard. Then, she saw the DigestZen in the kit and had to have some of that, too!

If you want to learn how to save up to 25% on your oil purchases, contact me and become a Wellness Advocate yourself! Just write me at pjspur@gmail.com or fill out the contact form on my doTERRA website.

Next time, I’ll write about using essential oils for emotional healing. This is my favorite aspect of healing with essential oils. Why? Because it blends so well with www.soulrevelations.com, my practice where I support you in healing your body, mind AND spirit!

Forgiveness . . . Self-Forgiveness . . . Why Bother?

Forgiveness is such a huge concept, isn’t it? You have forgiveness that involves others and self-forgiveness.

When we were children, we were taught to pray “God, help me forgive ____.” But, I realize that sometimes, I want to hold on to the grudge. Maybe I have been hurt OR someone I love has been hurt and I feel that this is wrong. And then, I think of the old adage: “Forgiveness doesn’t mean that you condone the action.” Remembering this helps me to begin to forgive.

One of my friends said this on Facebook recently:
Remembering that forgiveness is a process and freeing myself from the expectation of “once and done” has really helped. Have you ever “re-injured” yourself by getting mad at yourself because you haven’t been successful at forgiveness? Sometimes it takes a long time.

Time and space are the two most important gifts to give myself on the road to forgiveness. How many times have you waited a few days and then, you just feel better? Especially when another person you are close to or work with is involved, those few days can really help with healing.

Another friend said:
Forgiveness is an ongoing process and sometimes, I experience that I’m beyond the process and that forgiveness has simply “occurred.”

I call this occurrence a “download.” Something has happened and I am changed, but I have no intellectual awareness of the process that took place. This is what some people also call a miracle!

Self-Forgiveness

Self-forgiveness is another matter. (Why am I so hard on myself?) Have you ever forgiven yourself and then dredged it back up and “unforgiven” yourself? I’ve done it. Maybe I think I didn’t do enough penance. Maybe I think I have a few more steps to go.

One friend says:
I ask myself: “Is this the worst thing I have ever done?” If the answer is “No,” which it usually is, I encourage myself to accept it with a huge dose of compassion.

I’ve been healing myself with Ho’oponopono more and more, and I find that after a few minutes of the cleaning process, I’m in a better place. I think that Ho’oponopono combines all of the aspects of forgiveness (and self-forgiveness) into one practice. Especially when I am the one who has been hurt or offended, I may use the practice and feel a softening inside.

The basic steps of Ho’oponopono are to repeat these phrases:
I love you
Please forgive me
I am sorry
Thank you

You can repeat the phrases up to 10 or 20 times per sitting and do the practice several times a day. If the forgiveness involves another person, you can have the person in mind, as you say the phrases.

Dr. Len, the man who brought Ho’oponopono out of Hawaii and into the rest of the world explains it this way:

I heal the inside of me to see changes in my external world. When I feel love inside of me, outside reflections start showing up. When I take good care of me, others reflect this love and care. When I forgive myself and exercise good self-care, the world begins to respond to me in like manner.”

If you want to read his story, click here: http://www.laughteronlineuniversity.com/practice-hooponopono-four-simple-steps/

He used Ho’oponopono and healed inmates at a psychiatric hospital and never met with a single patient! Finally, the hospital was closed, because there were no more patients. He goes on to say:

The Ho’oponopono cleaning process allows direct contact with the divine wisdom, love and inspiration already within each of us. It is achieved when memories replaying as thoughts, fears, and judgments are transmuted to ZERO by Love. It is a state of being which enables us to lead inspired lives.
Much of today’s stress is a result of memories replaying the past and displacing Love. “Cleaning” can restore us to Love, to Zero.

We can transform ourselves, our homes, our communities and our world into one of peace and Divine inspiration. It begins with doing the cleaning process, knowing that everything we see outside of us can be cleaned inside. It is the first step in being instruments of Love. The first step in learning how to BE “Cleaning in Action” and to become “Love in Action.” It is how to be 100% responsible. It is the “fast track” to Zero.

So, by repeating the Ho’oponopono phrases, you can transform yourself.

This is exactly what Dr. Hew Len did to invite divine transformation, not only for his life, but for the lives of the patients at Hawaiian mental hospital.

Author and spiritual teacher Carolyn Myss says:

By far the strongest poison to the human spirit is the inability to forgive oneself or another person. Forgiveness is no longer an option but a necessity for healing. Nothing empowers our ability to heal as much as our love and forgiveness.

Is there a better reason to forgive?

Messages From Spirit

When Steve and I present our “Messages from Spirit,” we do readings for up to 8 people. Steve brings through evidence from loved ones and friends on the other side, so that there is no doubt that he is communicating with those who have crossed over. I connect with the angels and guides of each person present and record a short message of encouragement or guidance. I write down the audible messages that I receive on a piece of paper.

A few months ago, I received the idea of also recording one or two sentences from each message onto another pad that I keep and publish from time to time. Sometimes, I feel that one or all of the messages I record on the second sheet of paper are for me! I know that friends and clients who have read these on Facebook or on my blog are also encouraged by what they read.

Here are the short messages from Tuesday night’s group.
1. Get out in nature to recharge your energy.
2. It might be a good time to look at your diet. By simply changing a few items you eat, you’ll have more energy.
3. There’s a book (or two) waiting inside you and your words will comfort so many. The words will flow like a river.
4. It is time to play and be light-hearted. No need to be too serious.
5. How might you help your fellowman and challenge yourself, as well?
6. The laughter keeps your heart light and keeps you grounded.
7. Journaling is a great way to record your journey and lessen our load. What you write down, you can release.
8. This is a time of great growth for you. There may be “growing pains.” Don’t fret. All is OK.

So, if something resonates, consider it a gift from YOUR angels.

Meditation and A Rampage of Appreciation

I’ve just learned something about myself: when I don’t meditate when I start my day, I tend to become very irritable and stay that way all day. Grrrrr!!!

When I don’t ground, center and go to my “happy place” early each day, I tend to veer off course and wreak a lot of havoc in my wake!
Yesterday, for example, was a day in which I didn’t stop to meditate. I just “jumped in.” Things began to unravel and I became angry and sullen and was almost ready to bite off Steve’s head when I met him for dinner!

We had an event that night and I wanted to be at my best. So, I centered, grounded and began to appreciate Avery! I remembered something silly and fun from our Saturday sleepover and I could feel my vibration instantly rising. I also looked on my phone at her recent photos of the Daddy/Daughter Frozen dance. Instant up vibe!

Every time I felt myself begin to sink, I would re-center on Avery and her lovely face, her vibrant smile, and her joyfulness. I would appreciate her and how much she enriches my life. I would have a rampage of appreciation around Avery!

The result? I enjoyed my evening much more than I enjoyed my day! Here’s a quote from Abraham-Hicks that explains the phenomenon:

The more you practice appreciation, the less resistance you will have in your own vibrational frequencies. The longer you focus upon things that feel good to you, the easier it is for you to maintain those vibrational frequencies that feel good.

Since it is your primary intention, as you move through your day, to find things to appreciate, you are practicing a vibration of less resistance, and you are making your connection to your own Source Energy stronger.

Because the vibration of appreciation is the most powerful connection between the Physical You and the Non-Physical You, this process will also put you in a position to receive even clearer guidance from your Inner Being. The Law of Attraction assists with the powerful momentum of these positive thoughts and feelings until, with very little time and effort, you will find your heart singing in your joyous alignment with who you really are.

So have a Rampage of Appreciation and enjoy your life!

Here’s another of my favorite quotes from Abraham-Hicks:

The greatest gift that you could ever give to another is your own happiness, for when you are in a state of joy, happiness, or appreciation, you are fully connected to the stream of pure, positive Source Energy that is truly who you are. And when you are in that state of connection, anything or anyone that you are holding as your object of attention benefits from your attention.

Destroy Root Beliefs . . .

I’ve had a situation with one of my teeth recently and have had a series of appointments. Each time, I leave the office and feel very angry and upset. Yesterday, when I met with the endodontist, I became especially upset and started crying when I reached my car.
Then, I drove directly to Sonic and ordered myself a cherry Coke!
What is remarkable about this?
As an empath, I was picking up on all of the pain and upset in the dentist’s office. I know that now. I also brought in some memories of my original visit to the oral surgeon a number of years ago. All of those old memories, the pain and the trauma of the original surgery and how expensive it was and all of that (beliefs around money and parents, etc.) was pretty overwhelming. I find it amazing that I was in Colleyville, on a street that I was unfamiliar with, yet, as I turned the corner on to a more familiar street, I knew instantly that there was a Sonic Drive-In a few blocks down!
As I drove home with my Route 44 Cherry Coke, I began to calm down. I became aware that I had reached for something to comfort the little girl in me. I can’t even remember the last time I got a Cherry Coke!
I was pretty calm by the time I reached my house, which was more than 40 miles away. My husband was home and I asked him to sit down as I related my “story.”
Then, I called a friend of mine who is a dental supplies representative and told her my story and asked for her help finding a dentist or oral surgeon who could help me. (She was very helpful!)
At the end of the storytelling, I was acutely aware of how I had told this story about my teeth for many, many years. It was almost a point of pride, sharing the trauma of the situation and the resulting oral surgery. Over the years, each time I would change dentists, I would get to retell the story, because the root canals are so visible in the Xrays that they take at each visit. I see now that I allowed this to become a part of my identity. And, I also see how I was limiting myself with this story and the retelling of the story.
For heaven’s sake: I felt the need to tell the story 3 times yesterday: to the endodontist, to my husband and to my friend. Talk about living my story!
Maybe I had to experience the story telling times three to bring it into my awareness!
Today, I looked up “teeth” and “root canal” in the Louise Hay book You Can Heal Your Life. The information on “root canal” really resonates:
Probable Cause:
Can’t bite into anything anymore. Root beliefs being destroyed.
New Thought Patterns:
I create firm foundations for myself and for my life. I choose my beliefs to support me joyously.
WOW! What a revelation. I’ve been dismantling so many things over the past year. Lots of old, limiting beliefs are being torn down, “destroyed” and released.

Some of my Access processes came to mind as I continued the releasing . . .
What energy, space and consciousness can I be, to be free of my past stories?
What stories of my past are trapping me from being me?
Destroy this now!

What can I do today to turn ME on, so I look to the future instead creating MY future based on the past?
And, what energy can I be to BE free of my past stories around wealth and money?
Allow this now!

So, what is perfect about me that I’m not getting?
(These Access Consciousness tools and questions open the door to releasing old thoughts and beliefs and allow healing.)

Freedom . . . What is it? What does it mean?

I recently took off 5 days in a row, after Christmas. I started the 5 days thinking: “I have 5 wonderful days of freedom. I can do anything!” I had plans to clean my home office, do some writing, put up the Christmas stuff, you know, the regular “after the holidays” To Do List.
Each day, I would awaken and say to myself, “5 days of Freedom ” and then “4 Days of Freedom,” and so on. On the next to the last day, I meditated and then caught myself thinking, “This is my next to last day of Freedom. I really haven’t DONE much.”
Then, I heard, as clear as someone speaking to me, right in the room with me, “PJ, you’ve been getting some Soul Healing.”
WOW!
Yes, I played, I watched Christmas movies (yes, AFTER Christmas), I did a little shopping. I did some research for a new computer that I want to get. I had lunch with daughters and my brother and sister and their families. One day, I showered and hung around the house all day, wearing jeans and an old sweatshirt and no makeup! I made dinner for my hubby 2 nights! (He’s the chef in our family—I get delicious meals prepared for me most weekdays!)
Then, on Saturday, I had planned lunch with a friend. About 2 hours before our lunch date, I got a text from my daughter that they were heading to the vet with their dog, who was not feeling well. A few minutes later, I got the news that Belle was not long for this world. I quickly cancelled on my friend (who is a very understanding gal) and headed to the grocery store to pick up some items to make soup and cookies at my daughter’s house.
I am so glad that I was available to help out. The mood was somber and everyone needed a hearty, warm meal after getting back from the vet. (My daughter’s in-laws were visiting.) I made tortilla soup and had some warm bread and cookies ready in no time. I helped my daughter with some cleaning and laundry and the two granddaughters. I provided support during a difficult, heart-wrenching time.
As I drove home from her house, once again, I reflected on the idea of “freedom.” Maya Angelou’s famous quote, “I know why the caged bird sings” came to my mind.
Now, I know why. The idea of freedom has nothing to do with external circumstances or duties or busy-ness. It has to do with an inner feeling of freedom. . . a feeling that I AM free . . . free to be myself. Free to BE, not just do.
So many times, I feel stressed because of what I think is expected of me. True freedom comes from knowing that I don’t have to DO anything at all.
In fact, I can be even MORE free by resisting that urge to DO, to be busy.
That’s what my 5 days of PLAY was about. Learning about true freedom, receiving Soul Healing. Just chilling and relaxing.
The caged bird sings because it knows that its Soul is NOT caged. Because its Soul is already flying free. . . free to fly and free to BE.
I am free to be, where ever I happen to be. It is up to me to find that place of freedom within myself. Maya Angelou calls this her “Place of Enchantment,” and isn’t that a wonderful name for it?
Free to be me, free to be enchanted, free to be delighted . . .

Messages From the Angels

My husband Steve and I host these small groups twice a month. We call them "Messages from Spirit" and he connects with your loved ones and friends on the Other Side and gives you evidence or proof that there is life after death here on earth. I connect with your Angels and Guides and give you a short message of encouragement, support or healing.

I write out the messages for each person and read the message aloud as we go around the table. If a part of the message is too personal or might be embarrassing, I edit what I read aloud.

Last night, my angels suggested that I record in my own personal journal 1 or 2 sentences from each of the messages. Just whichever one resonated with me was to be recorded.

When I finished, I realized that these are beautiful words of encouragement and I shared them with Steve. Here, I share them with you, in no particular order. If one or two resonate for you, I invite you enjoy and leave the rest!

There is no need to struggle or punish yourself. Express gratitude every day for even the little things and see your life blossom.

Meditation will help you connect with YOUR angels and guides.

What makes your heart sing? Be that! What do you do that makes time fly? Do that!

Take some time to meditate and reflect and you’ll get lots of ideas in this space. And you’ll connect to Universal knowledge.

Positive thoughts bring positive rewards. Open to this idea and welcome new insights, blessings and friendships.

Let the good times roll! This is a good time to bask in all that life is for you.

Take some time each day to write. Journal your thoughts, fears and dreams.

Find something that makes you smile and allow yourself to enjoy, really enjoy these small pleasures.

Thank you, Angels!
